Description
Badminton 2009
Eighty-one combinations started the dressage phase representing 10 countries with a record 24 riders being first timers. Windy conditions on the first two days made the dressage test even more demanding with Belgium’s Karin Donckers leading the way in a tightly packed leader board. With ground conditions absolutely perfect and the fair weather the cross country course rode well with 55 completing without jumping penalties and 16 going inside the time. In the show jumping William Fox-Pitt and Idalgo put the pressure on the top 3 with an immaculate clear and only Oliver Townend riding Flint Curtis could resist his challenge to win their first Badminton title.
Badminton 2009 shows the leading dressage test in full plus other dressage highlights, comprehensive cross country coverage and the best of the show jumping.
