Description
offering a unique approach to training rider confidence in combination with basic dressage principles. Based on Conrad Schumacher’s acclaimed clinics by the same name, the program begins with his “Prerequisites for Winning.” Here the master coach illustrates the training and riding essentials—such as the horse’s correct neck position—that he insists must be in place before you can be assured success in the competitive arena.
The DVD goes on to provide a number of Schumacher’s “Working Patterns”—intricate and challenging exercises intended to be repeated many times in succession without the rider “stopping to analyze or worry” about what went wrong and why. By consistently pushing herself outside her comfort zone in practice or warm-up, the rider will discover difficult movements in her test will ride much easier. When Schumacher’s Prerequisites and Working Patterns are incorporated in a rider’s long-term, mid-term, and short-term show preparation, the rider will find herself eagerly awaiting the ring of the bell, confident, focused, relaxed, and ready to win. CONRAD SCHUMACHER is a world famous dressage trainer known for his ingenious style and high rate of coaching success. His students have won over 40 gold, silver, and bronze medals in international competition, including European Championships, World Championships, and the Olympic Games. Schumacher was the coach of the British Dressage Team at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia, and has been commissioned by the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) as a headliner for the annual USDF Dressage Symposium and trainer for the American Advanced Young Riders. When not teaching in the US, Sweden, Ireland, and the UK, he lives outside Frankfurt, Germany. IN STOCK! 53 minutes | |
