The manual is produced in cooperation with the National Park Service's Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program. Getting Organized begins with the knowledge that land and equestrian trails must be preserved. This 35-page manual provides step-by-step ideas for working through an existing group, or if necessary, creating a new organization. It explains how to gather people and resources, create goals and by-laws, prepare and hold an initial meeting, and establish regular meeting formats. Appendices with sample forms and additional resources/reading list are included for more detailed information.
