Description
Reining Dreams is all about excellence in the fast growing sport of Reining. Once the domain of the North American cowboy, Reining fever is spreading across Europe and is now considered the fastest growing FEI discipline. Francesca Sternberg, International reining champion and breeder of champion Quarter Horses, has put together a list of elite horses and riders who dominate this exciting, fast moving, precision event. The riders take you behind the scenes to reveal their training secrets and how they prepare themselves for the big competitions. Learn how the medal winning horses are conditioned and cared for. With the addition of breath-taking photography the reader senses the power of the spins, slides, rollbacks and fast gallops.

Check out the top saddle maker, the top labels worn by competitors, the latest in cowboy hat and boot styles and take a close look at the intricate work that expert craftsmen put into their bits, spurs and buckles. Reining Dreams is the perfect book for the Pro and Non-Pro rider along with readers who simply love to admire beautiful images of athletic horses in motion. There is not another book like this on the market and for less than the price of a single riding lesson it is a book you will want to read again and again.

Francesca Sternberg has been at the top of International Quarter Horse and Reining competitions for the past 15 years. Reining first became an FEI approved equestrian sport in 2001, and in 2002 Francesca competed in the first World Equestrian Games on a team that consisted of her husband Doug Allen, sister Rosanne and Bob Mayhew. The team finished a creditable 5th. In the 2006 World Equestrian Games she placed 4th individually and became the highest placed lady competitor at this competition. Francesca once again represented the United Kingdom at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. She is also a multiple European Champion, NRHA and NRBC finalist and the first European Lady rider to win more than $100,000 and the first British rider to win more than $200,000.

Francesca splits her time between her two Sterling Quarter Horse ranches in Texas, USA and East Sussex England where she operates breeding facilities at both locations with her sister Rosanne.
